Shipping Guidelines

Standard Domestic Shipping:

For all wig and hairpiece orders that are shipped within the continental United States, (including Alaska and Hawaii), there is a base charge of $9.00, plus $2.00 for each additional item after the first. For example, if you order two wigs and a bottle of shampoo, the total shipping charge will be $13.00.

These orders are sent via UPS Ground. You can expect your purchase to arrive in 7-12 days.

Standard Shipping (Canada only):

For shipments to Canada, the base charge is $24.00, plus $5.00 for each additional item after the first.

You can expect your purchase to arrive in 7-12 days. (Customs is taking a longer period of time to inspect packages).

Rush Domestic Shipping:

We offer 2-3 day rush shipping for a charge of $25.00 for the first item, and $10.00 for each additional item. This charge applies to rush delivery orders for the continental United States only.

If your order also includes items other than wigs and/or hairpieces, those items will be shipped separately via Standard Shipping.

Customers outside of the continental United States (such as Alaska, Hawaii and US territories) -- please inquire via e-mail or call:

All Rush Shipping orders (credit card only) that are placed after 12:00 PM will ship on the next business day. You should receive your order 2-3 days thereafter.

For example, if you placed your order after 12:00 PM on Monday, you’ll receive your order on either Thursday or Friday of that week. If your order was placed on Wednesday after 12:00 PM, you may not receive your order until the following Monday, because there are NO Saturday deliveries.

Please note, you must provide a street address (not a post office box) for this type of delivery.

 

International Shipping:

For international shipments, the base charge is $30.00, (additional charges may apply-depending on the Country) plus $5.00 for each additional item after the first. For example, if you order two wigs and a bottle of shampoo, the total shipping charge will be $40.00.

You can expect your purchase to arrive in 7-14 days.

At this time, we do not offer rush shipping for international deliveries.

 

Exchange Policy

** Sorry, NO REFUNDS! ONE Exchange Only! **

When exchanging your goods, all original packaging must be included. The wig/hairpiece must have all the original tags still attached to it. It cannot be combed or brushed; it must be in good saleable condition.

Any wig or hairpiece exchange must be made within 10 days receipt of your order. It must be accompanied by a return authorization number and the appropriate paperwork. To obtain an authorization number, please e-mail exchange@wigsite.com.

Please include your name, address and why you are requesting an exchange authorization. Also, indicate which wig or hairpiece you wish to exchange it for and/or the new color.

Only ONE exchange per item is permitted.

 (All Sales are Final, on "Henry Margu" Wigs)

  • There will be a $10.00 restocking fee "per item", which includes basic shipping and handling charges for the replacement wig or hairpiece. (Actually, it's only a $2.00 restocking fee, once the replacement item is shipped).
     
  • There will be a $20.00 restocking fee on all Human Hair wigs.
     
  • There is a $30.00 restocking fee for all International orders, due to the fact that the shipping and handling fees are more expensive.

Exchange must be equal or of a higher amount. If the exchanged item is a lower amount, the difference will be applied as store credit towards your next purchase. The difference can not be refunded.

1. Do you mail out print catalogs?

No, we only have online catalogs for viewing purposes.

2. Do you wholesale to salons?

No, we only sell directly to the public.

3. Can I write off the cost of my wig, if I am using it for medical reasons?

Yes, be sure to keep your original email receipt. It is considered a tax-write off, if used for medical purposes.

4. Will my insurance company pay for the cost of my wig, if I’m undergoing chemotherapy?

Most (but not all) insurance companies will pay for your wig, and only if you have a written prescription for it. The prescription must be made out for a "cranial prosthesis" in order to be reimbursed.

When ordering, please check the appropriate box in the "special instructions" section of order form and we will either e-mail or send you the required paperwork for submission to your insurance company.

5. How do I know which hair color to choose?

To achieve a more natural look, try and choose a color that will be close to or a shade lighter than your own hair color. Please view our color chart descriptions. This will help in your decision.

Please note: Due to varied monitor quality and type, the actual wig color will differ from the colors on your screen.

6. How do I send in a hair sample for you to match my own hair color?

  • First, cut a piece of your hair about ½-inch wide by 1-2 inches long, with enough strands in it to be able to view the actual color.

    For hairpieces, cut your sample to match the area where the hairpiece is going to be placed. For example, if your hairpiece is going to be placed in the back section of the head, take a sample from the side of your head so that your hair blends naturally into the point where the hairpiece begins.

  • Please tape the hair sample to a white piece of paper, along with a note of your desired wig or hairpiece selection.

    Along with your sample, please be sure to include your name, address, phone number (with area code), e-mail address and form of payment. We will notify you once we receive your sample and determine the appropriate color. After your approval, we will process your order!

7. Which credit cards and other forms of payment do you accept?

We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover Card.

We also accept money orders made payable to: "Wigsite".  As well as Paypal.

Can I pay with a personal check?

No, we are no longer accepting personal checks. Please see above for other forms of payments that we do accept.

8. How do I send my order via regular mail or fax?

Just proceed with the checkout process and follow the instructions.

9. Do you offer secure online ordering?

Our secure server software (SSL) is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.

10. Do you sell other wigs and hairpieces besides the ones on this website?

Absolutely! We sell many others -- including the full line of Look of Love, plus Henry Margu, Aspen, Alan Thomas, New Image, Mona Lisa, Motown Tress, On Rite and more. Just send us an email regarding the item you're looking for and we'll reply with our discounted price and ordering instructions.

11. Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes! Click here to purchase a Lori's Wigsite gift certificate. If you would like us to include a personal message, please include it in the Comments section of the checkout form.

12. How do I redeem my gift certificate?

Click here to go to the gift certificate redemption page. You will be asked to enter the gift certificate number and amount, which will then be automatically deducted from your order total. Please be sure to enter the information correctly, as the gift certificate is verified through our records before your order is shipped.

13. Do you buy human hair?

14. What are your hours of operation?

We are available (Eastern Standard Time).:

Monday - Thursday from 9 AM- 5 PM

(We will be closed on Friday's)

Due to the wig manufacturers being closed on the weekends, Lori's Wigsite will be closed on Saturday and Sunday as well.

All orders received on Friday (after 12 noon) and over the weekend, will be filled the following business day (Monday). All phone calls that are placed over the weekend, will be returned on the following business day as well.
