Quality construction can be the key factor when choosing any wig. A well-crafted, machine-made synthetic wig looks like your own hair and offers comfort, like a vented cap, usually at a reasonable price. Such mass-produced synthetic wigs perform better than some low quality human hair wigs, so it's important to know which wig brand to choose from.

Synthetic
wigs are durable and can be matched to your own hair color and desired
cut. Many women favor synthetic wigs, since they are easier to maintain,
hold their set longer, dry faster after washing, and are far less
expensive than “real hair” wigs.
One disadvantage to synthetic wigs, is they tend not to last very long.
Most will last anywhere from 3 to 6 months- then they need to be
replaced due to the fibers wearing down. The shorter wig styles will
have a longer life span, compared to the longer wig styles.
The second
drawback for these synthetic fiber wigs is you can not expose them to
any heat source (i.e. stay away from ovens, bbq's, hair dryers, flat
irons &
curling irons)- they tend to frizz or singe these wigs due to high heat exposure.
Once this happens these wigs can not be repaired.
Most synthetic wigs come in the
average ca size, which can be slightly adjusted in the nape area. While
other brands offer wigs in either the
petite size or
large cap wigs as well. Some of our most popular synthetic wigs brands in this category are
Noriko/ROP,
Raquel Welch, Jon Renau & Gabor
